Weekend Retail Therapy

After several months of witholding from buying makeup/skincare, I finally indulged in some shopping over the weekend. I made a small order from Sephora and used the friends & family code to get the 20% discount to get the following:

Zirh Wash for MG, Jack Black kit (Christmas gift), Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum

I was planning to get one of the Caudalie kits so that I could try a few products in addition to the serum, but while going through the toiletries in the bathroom I discovered an unopened jar of Merlot moisturizer. Waste not, want not, right? So I'm using the Merlot before I buy another moisturizer. The Vinoperfect serum is nice - I've only been using it for a couple of days now, but my skin already feels softer than before. The serum is a bit sticky in my opinion, but feels fine after I've applied moisturizer/night cream on top. I'll write up a detailed review once I've had more time to use it, but the posts I've already seen online give it great reviews.

I also did some couponing over the weekend and bought some stuff at Walgreens...

Not too shabby! I saved about $50 between the 2 purchases, even if it meant holding up the line so I could be "that" person with all the coupons. With the sale and coupons, the CoverGirl items only cost $2.50 each, so I won't feel bad if something doesn't work for me and I have to toss it! Even though I had to pay a little more for the Power fusion razors (which makes no sense, the only difference is the color of the moisturizing strip!), I won't have to buy razors for a while...especially since MG has a beard and rarely needs to shave :) The refill razors even came with a trial size bodywash (which I will probably use before MG ever does, since he prefers bars of soap).
