NOTW: Rescue Beauty Lounge

Hope everyone had a nice weekend! Mine felt both short and long - short because it was only 2 days off; long because I spent most of it cooped up in my apartment, thanks to the SEPTA strike. There's a chance that it may be over tonight/tomorrow, but nothing official. The strike is over, so I'll be able to get around the city on my own again! I was feeling sick over the weekend as well, so I slept and napped quite a bit. I did manage to paint my nails with the Rescue Beauty Lounge nail polish over the weekend, and I really like the formula!

Catharine and Carol mentioned that they wanted to see Scrangie, so here you go ladies! This isn't something I could wear all the time, but I really love the colors - the iridescent purples and blues are gorgeous! I think I had something similar to this a long time ago, but Scrangie is more purple than the shade I had. This was after 3 coats; the nail polish applies a bit on the sheer side, but the coats dry fast and are pretty uniform.

Of course I couldn't help but try out the Matte Top Coat on top of Scrangie - it's so much fun to see how the nail color changes with a top coat! Though the shimmer is gone with the matte topcoat, you get a hint of all the colors underneath and the color is still very purple.

MG isn't afraid of nail polish either, so I painted his nails black and used the Matte Top Coat to finish. He's not a fan of how glossy nails are right after a manicure, so the matte coating was perfect for him.

It's back to the grind tomorrow...thankfully there's a day off in the middle of the week for Veteran's Day :) I've been working on some new pieces for Cady Nation as well, so stay tuned for new things soon!
